To our valued patients,
We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Following Governor Brown’s recent announcement allowing non-urgent medical procedures to resume on May 1st, we are excited that we are now able to provide routine dental care starting on Monday, May 4th.
Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and we have established enhanced protocols to ensure the safety of our patients and staff. The following is a list of changes that are being implemented:
- 1. Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask a series of screening questions. If you have a positive response to any of the questions, we will have to reschedule your appointment.
- 2. When you arrive for your appointment, please remain in your car and call our front desk at 503-243-6111. We will instruct you as to when to come into the office so that we can maintain social distancing.
- 3. We ask that you please wear a mask when entering our office.
- 4. We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter our front office area. If you are wearing disposable gloves, we will have you remove them first and dispose of them. Upon leaving, we will ask that you use hand sanitizer again and offer you a replacement pair of gloves.
- 5. Upon arrival, we will take your temperature. If it is over 100.4, we will have to reschedule your appointment.
- 6. Our waiting area is closed and all toys, magazines, etc. have been removed to ensure disinfection protocols.
- 7. We ask that only patients come to our office. If parent or guardian presence is necessary, please just designate one parent or guardian to come into a treatment room. No additional siblings, please.
- 8. A clean bin will be available in each dental room for you to place all of your belongings.
- 9. Appointments will be managed to allow for distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling or have a wait time when you arrive for your appointment.
